FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 515 AM EST EARLY THIS
MORNING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...A portion of south central Virginia, including the
following county and independent city, City of Danville and
Pittsylvania.
* WHEN...Until 515 AM EST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Overflowing poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or
other areas is occurring or is imminent.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1205 AM EST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain. Overflowing poor drainage areas will
cause minor flooding in Countywide. Between 1 and 1.5 inches
of rain have fallen.
- Minor flooding is possible countywide.
Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected
overnight. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
