Des Plaines River near Russell affecting Lake IL County.
For the Des Plaines River...including Russell...Minor flooding is
forecast.
...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM THIS MORNING TO LATE TOMORROW
EVENING...
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Des Plaines River from IL/WI state line downstream to
US-41 in Gurnee, including the Russell gauge.
* WHEN...From this morning to late tomorrow evening.
* IMPACTS...At 7.0 feet, Low-lying wetlands and agricultural land is
inundated near the river.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:30 AM CST Sunday the stage was 6.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
this evening and begin falling below flood stage late
tomorrow night.
- Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
