FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM EST THIS AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall
continues.
* WHERE...Portions of southeast Ohio, including the following
counties, Athens, Gallia, Lawrence, Meigs, Morgan and Washington
and West Virginia, including the following counties, Jackson,
Mason, Pleasants and Wood.
* WHEN...Until 500 PM EST.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams
continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 146 PM EST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Between
0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. As water continues to
work down the watershed through this afternoon, sharp rises
will be observed on smaller drainages.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in
the warned area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Parkersburg, Athens, Marietta, Belpre, Point Pleasant,
Gallipolis, Pomeroy, Beverly, Rio Grande, Albany, Racine,
