WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY MORNING THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING... * WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 2 feet, locally up to 3 feet at mountain peaks. Winds could gust as high as 50 to 60 mph. * WHERE...Western Plumas County/Lassen Park and West Slope Northern Sierra Nevada. * WHEN...From Wednesday morning through Friday morning. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible from travel delays, snow covered roads, and reduced visibility at times, with possible chain controls and road closures. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow levels of 6000 to 7000 feet on Wednesday, lowering to 4000 to 5000 feet on Thursday, and as low as 3500 feet by Friday morning. Heaviest snowfall accumulations expected above 6000 feet.
