A Flood Advisory means minor flooding along waterways and other poor
drainage areas is imminent or may already be occurring. Persons in
the advisory area should use caution and avoid flood waters.
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
FLOOD ADVISORY FOR AN ICE JAM IN EFFECT UNTIL 1045 AM CST
THURSDAY...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by an ice jam is occurring.
* WHERE...A portion of north central Illinois, including the
following counties, northern Lee and southern Ogle.
* WHEN...Until 1045 AM CST Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 856 AM CST, An ice jam was reported on the Rock River near
Lowell Park. Ice spotter reports flooding upstream of this
jam near the White Oaks Subdivision west of Grand Detour.

areas along the Rock River upstream of Lowell Park, including
areas in and near Grand Detour.
