A coastal storm will pass south of the region late Monday night through the day Tuesday, and could produce 6 or more inches of snow. The heaviest snow will fall Tuesday morning into Tuesday afternoon. There will be a sharp south to north gradient in snowfall, so stay tuned to further updates in the track of the storm and resultant snowfall. * WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations greater than 6 inches possible. * WHERE...Portions of southwest Maine and central and southern New Hampshire. * WHEN...From late Monday night through Tuesday evening. * IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Periods of moderate and heavy snow will combine with low visibility to create dangerous driving conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes.
