Slow down and use caution while traveling.
The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can
be obtained by calling 5 1 1.
* WHAT...Wet snow expected. Total snow accumulations of up to one
inch, mainly north of Interstate 40. A few spots near the
Kentucky border may have up to 2 inches of slushy snow. Winds
gusting as high as 35 mph.
* WHERE...Portions of Middle Tennessee.
* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to 6 AM CST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions, mainly on elevated
surfaces.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There is a lot of uncertainty about snow
amounts. If cold air moves in quickly, snow totals could
increase above 2 inches for some spots north of I-40. But, since
temperatures have been warm, much of the falling snow may melt
resulting in little or no accumulation. Either way, any travel
impacts are expected to be limited to elevated surfaces like
bridges and overpasses.
