Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.
A line of snow showers will move into Marquette and Alger counties this morning from the north. A quick burst of accumulating snow will occur and impact the morning commute. This may result in some hazardous driving conditions, particularly on untreated roadways. Drivers are reminded to drive at appropriate speeds for changing road conditions, leave extra space between yourself and other vehicles, and use low beam headlights.
