Ocmulgee River at US 341 at Hawkinsville affecting Bleckley and
Pulaski Counties.
For the Ocmulgee River Basin...including Jackson, Juliette, Griffin,
Juliette, Macon, Dames Ferry, Macon, Clinchfield, Hawkinsville,
Hawkinsville, Byron, Abbeville, McRae, Scotland, Lumber City...
Moderate flooding is forecast.
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring.
* WHERE...Ocmulgee River at US 341 at Hawkinsville.
* WHEN...Until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 26.0 feet, Moderate flooding begins...with several
homes surrounded by flood waters and at least 3 homes begin
flooding near Gooseneck Lane and RiverView Road.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 6:00 AM EST Saturday the stage was 26.3 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 6:00 AM EST Saturday was 26.6 feet.
- Forecast...The river will continue cresting this morning
before beginning a slow fall later this afternoon.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
26.4 feet on 03/22/1976.
