HAZARDS...A lake effect snow band which can rapidly reduce visibility to less than a half of a mile. LOCATION AND MOVEMENT...At 748 PM EST, a lake effect snow band was over Fonda moving east at 40 MPH. THIS LAKE EFFECT SNOW BAND WILL BE NEAR... Amsterdam and Tribes Hill around 755 PM EST. Pattersonville-Rotterdam Junction around 805 PM EST. Rotterdam Junction around 810 PM EST. Schenectady, Rotterdam, Scotia, and East Glenville around 815 PM EST. This includes the following highways... Interstate 88 near exit 25. Interstate 90 between exits 25a and 29. Interstate 890 between exits 1a and 4c. SAFETY INFO... Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Be prepared for snow or ice covered roads. Slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination.
