A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
Red Flag Conditions forecast today...
.Very strong south winds an advancing dryline in the
afternoon will lead to significant risk of wildfire
growth and spread today.
The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a Red Flag
Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect
from 9 AM this morning to 6 PM CST this evening.
* Affected Area...In Missouri, Fire Weather Zones 098, 100, 106,
107 and 108.
* Winds...Southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.
* Relative Humidity...As low as 25 percent.
* 10 Hour Fuels...as low as 7 percent.
* Impacts...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.
