A Winter Storm Watch for blizzard conditions means there is a potential for falling and/or blowing snow with strong winds and extremely poor visibilities. This can lead to whiteout conditions and make travel very difficult.
Areas of dense fog have developed in portions of northwest Illinois early this morning. The fog should dissipate by 10 am. Motorists should be aware of rapid fluctuations in visibility and at times less than 1/4 mile. Motorists should drive with extra caution and allow additional travel time. Use low beams, reduce speed, and allow for plenty of room between you and other vehicles.
