ACCUMULATING SNOW CONTINUES FOR THE PANHANDLE...
.A frontal band continues to move through the panhandle and will
bring accumulating snow. Snow has largely changed over to rain on
the western side of PoW Island. High snow ratios due to dry snow
in the northern panhandle and Juneau area have led to higher than
expected snow accumulations.
* WHAT...Snow expected. New snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches.
* WHERE...City and Borough of Juneau.
* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to 6 AM AKST Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult. The hazardous conditions
could impact the morning or evening commute. Heavy wet snow
will be difficult to manage due to high water content.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Highest snowfall is expected late tonight.
