ACCUMULATING SNOW CONTINUES FOR THE PANHANDLE...
.Frequent snow showers are streaming into the northern panhandle
tonight. High snow ratios due to dry snow in the northern
panhandle and Juneau area have led to higher than expected snow
accumulations in some areas.
* WHAT...Snow expected. New snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches.
* WHERE...City and Borough of Juneau.
* WHEN...Until 6 AM AKST Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult. Heavy wet snow will be
difficult to manage due to high water content.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Highest snowfall is expected late
tonight. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning
commute. Snow will become increasingly wet and heavy through
the night.
