The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Georgia... Flint River near Lovejoy affecting Spalding, Clayton and Fayette Counties. For the Flint River Basin...including Lovejoy, Americus, Peachtree City, Fayetteville, Peachtree City, Woolsey, Sharpsburg, Peachtree City, Peachtree City, Senoia, Griffin, Orchard Hill, Griffin, Molena, Thomaston, Carsonville, Montezuma, Byromville...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Flint River near Lovejoy. * WHEN...Until late Sunday evening. * IMPACTS...At 12 feet, Flood Stage is reached and minor flooding begins. Flooding of Rivers Edge Golf Course begins. Several holes and fairways will flood. Flooding of some yards begins upstream of gage between Upper Riverdale Road and Highway 138. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:46 PM EST Thursday the stage was 11 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage Saturday afternoon to a crest of 13.4 feet early Sunday morning.
