The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Georgia...
Flint River at US 19 near Carsonville affecting Upson, Talbot,
Crawford and Taylor Counties.
For the Flint River Basin...including Lovejoy, Americus, Peachtree
City, Fayetteville, Peachtree City, Woolsey, Sharpsburg, Peachtree
City, Peachtree City, Senoia, Griffin, Orchard Hill, Griffin,
Molena, Thomaston, Carsonville, Montezuma, Byromville...Moderate
flooding is forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.
* WHERE...Flint River at US 19 near Carsonville.
* WHEN...From early this morning to Wednesday morning.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 2:45 AM EST Saturday the stage was 18.5 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 2:45 AM EST Saturday was 18.5 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 31.2
feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage
early Wednesday morning.
- Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
