Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...Portions of central New York, including the following
areas, Broome, Delaware, Sullivan and Tioga and northeast
Pennsylvania, including the following areas, Bradford, Lackawanna,
Luzerne, Northern Wayne, Pike, Southern Wayne, Susquehanna and
Wyoming.
* WHEN...Through Sunday evening.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Area creeks and
streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Heavy rain may fall this evening and tonight increasing
runoff. Flows in rivers and creeks may increase quickly and
reach critical levels. Rainfall totals of 1 to 2 inches are
expected in the watch area. Ponding of water in low lying
areas and even isolated flash flooding is also possible.
