Scattered rain showers across much of Northeastern Pennsylvania, the Poconos, and the Catskills will change over to moderate snow in the higher elevations this afternoon. Where rain changes over to snow, visibility may be quickly reduced to 1/4 mile or less at times. Roads may become slick with light accumulations. Winds may also gust 35 to 40 mph at times in heavier rain and snow showers. Heavier snow squalls will also be possible later this afternoon as temperatures begin dropping.
