Winds gusting as high as 45 mph. * WHERE...Southern Cayuga, Onondaga, Madison and Cortland counties. * WHEN...Until 11 AM EDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow showers and squalls this afternoon will transition to steady snow this evening and overnight. Snowfall rates may approach 1 inch per hour briefly overnight. Localized higher totals are possible in the favored upslope, higher elevation locations. The snow will quickly taper off and end as a few flurries by mid-morning on Monday.
