The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Georgia...
Flint River at US 19 near Carsonville affecting Crawford, Taylor,
Talbot and Upson Counties.
For the Flint River Basin...including Carsonville...Minor flooding
is forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring.
* WHERE...Flint River at US 19 near Carsonville.
* WHEN...Until late Tuesday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 24 feet, Minor flooding expands further into the
woodlands and fields along the river upstream and downstream from
the gage on U.S. Highway 19. The flood waters will be up to 6 feet
deep over the top of the boat ramp and cover a portion of the
access road by the bridge on the Taylor County side of the river.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:30 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 23.4 feet and falling.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
early Tuesday morning and continue falling to 5.8 feet Friday
evening.
- Flood stage is 18 feet.
