Ocmulgee River at US 341 at Hawkinsville affecting Pulaski and
Bleckley Counties.
For the Ocmulgee River Basin...including Jackson, Griffin, Juliette,
Juliette, Dames Ferry, Macon, Macon, Hawkinsville, Byron,
Hawkinsville, Clinchfield, Abbeville, McRae, Scotland, Lumber City...
Moderate flooding is forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding will continue.
* WHERE...Ocmulgee River at US 341 at Hawkinsville.
* WHEN...Until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 26.0 feet, Moderate flooding begins...with several
homes surrounded by flood waters and at least 3 homes begin
flooding near Gooseneck Lane and RiverView Road.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:15 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 25.9 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 10:15 AM EDT Wednesday was 26.5 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
late Sunday morning and continue falling to 18.9 feet Monday
morning.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
25.8 feet on 05/07/1953.
