A Flood Advisory means minor flooding along waterways and other poor
drainage areas is imminent or may already be occurring. Persons in
the advisory area should use caution and avoid flood waters.
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of northwest Indiana, including northern Lake
County.
* WHEN...Until noon CDT.
* IMPACTS...Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
Underpasses may be flooded. Roads and streets may be flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 753 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated scattered showers and thunderstorms over the last
several hours had produced up to a half inch of rainfall,
with isolated areas up to 1 inch. An additional wave of heavy
rainfall will move into the area shortly.
- Additional rainfall up to 1 inch is possible across the area,
which may cause minor flooding.
