A Flood Advisory means minor flooding along waterways and other poor
drainage areas is imminent or may already be occurring. Persons in
the advisory area should use caution and avoid flood waters.
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...A portion of northeast Illinois, including southern Cook
and Will counties.
* WHEN...Until 1100 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
Underpasses may be flooded. Roads and streets may be flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 831 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated that the heavy rainfall had moved east of the area.
Between one to two inches of rainfall has fallen across the
advisory area. While, additional light rain will occur across
the area through 10 am it is not expected to be heavy enough
to produce additional flooding.

Chicago, Joliet, Bolingbrook, Orland Park, Tinley Park, Oak
Lawn, Romeoville, Plainfield, Calumet City, Woodridge,
Chicago Heights, Roseland, South Shore, Lansing, Oak Forest,
Harvey, Lockport, New Lenox, Homer Glen and Blue Island.
