Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for southeastern Oklahoma.
At 659 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Idabel, or 26 miles north of Clarksville, moving north at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Idabel, Broken Bow, Garvin, Holly Creek, Glover, Oak Hill, and Golden.
