Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 300 AM CDT for Deep South Texas.
At 216 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over El Sauz, moving east at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Viboras, Agua Nueva, El Sauz, Guerra, La Gloria, Santa Catarina, San Isidro, Santa Elena, Delmita, and Diamond O Ranch Airport.
