The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Georgia...
Ocmulgee River near Lumber City affecting Montgomery, Telfair and
Wheeler Counties.
For the Ocmulgee River Basin...including Lumber City...Minor
flooding is forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Ocmulgee River near Lumber City.
* WHEN...Until late Thursday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Moderate flooding begins. Flooding of the
access road to the boat ramp near the Highway 341 bridge begins.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 6:45 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 16.8 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 6:45 AM EDT Sunday was 16.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.2
feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below
flood stage early Thursday morning.
- Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
17.2 feet on 08/31/1911.
