Given temperatures well below freezing in some cases, protecting
tender plants from the cold is advised. To prevent bursting of
outdoor water pipes, they should be wrapped, drained, or allowed to
drip slowly.
* WHAT...Sub-freezing temperatures as cold as the lower to mid 20s
in portions of northern and western Arkansas.
* WHERE...Much of Arkansas.
* WHEN...Until 9 AM CDT this morning.
* IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other
sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor
plumbing.
