A developing snow squall in upstate NY will drop south and east
and affect northeast PA and Sullivan County NY between 4 and 6
pm. The Snow squall will move through the I-81 corridor in
northeast PA, the Northeast PA extension of the turnpike, I-80,
I-84 and I-380 in the Poconos between 4 pm and 6 pm. Snow squalls
will reduce visibilities to near zero at times with rapid snow
accumulations and blowing snow. This will make for very dangerous
travel especially over the higher terrain.
If you are planning travel this afternoon on an interstate or
large highway, watch for rapidly changing road conditions from
wet to icy and snowy. It is best to get off on the nearest exit
or avoid travel until the snow squall passes.
