A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.

Locations potentially impacted include the Finger Lakes southward toward Elmira and northward toward Syracuse. With falling temperatures slick and snow covered roads are possible along with black ice. Allow extra time to reach to your destination if you encounter snow showers.
