* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 6 inches and ice accumulations of around one tenth of an inch. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. * WHERE...The Capital Region of eastern New York. * WHEN...From 8 PM this evening to 11 PM EDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be hazardous due to snow and ice covered roadways and reduced visibility. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow and sleet tonight will change to freezing rain and plain rain on Saturday morning. After a period of plain rain, precipitation will change back to snow before ending late Saturday. Snowfall rates may get close to one inch per hour late Saturday before precipitation ends. The highest snow totals will be for northern parts of the Capital Region.
