If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be
closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of
unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone
property.
* WHAT...For the Coastal Flood Advisory, 1 to 2 feet inundation
above ground level expected in low-lying areas near shorelines
and tidal waterways. For the Coastal Flood Watch, 2 to 4 feet
inundation above ground level expected in low-lying areas near
shorelines and tidal waterways.
* WHERE...Areas along the Bay and lower Neuse River and adjacent
tidal creeks.
* WHEN...For the Coastal Flood Advisory, from 5 AM to 6 PM EDT
Saturday. For the Coastal Flood Watch, from late Saturday
night through late Monday night.
* IMPACTS...Numerous roads may be closed. Low lying property
including homes, businesses, and some critical infrastructure
may be inundated. Some shoreline erosion may occur.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A relatively short period of strong
southerly winds will bring minor water level rises late tonight
into Saturday. A prolonged period of strong north to northeast
winds will bring minor to moderate water water levels rises
late Saturday night into early next week.
