For the Yantic River...including Yantic...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Yantic River near Yantic. * WHEN...Until this morning. * IMPACTS...At 9.5 feet, Flooding begins at several commercial structures along west Town Street in Yantic Flats. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:46 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 9.49 feet. - Bankfull stage is 9.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 12:46 AM EDT Sunday was 9.7 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage early this morning and continue falling to 3.6 feet Tuesday evening. - Flood stage is 9.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 9.5 feet on 10/14/1990. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
