People outdoors should seek shelter immediately. If you can hear
thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Motorists
should slow down and be prepared for possible loss of control due to
hydroplaning.
A cold front will continue to move quickly across the area east of
a line from Munising to Escanaba. Behind the front, the wind will
gust from the west and temperatures will fall to below freezing.
Any water on the pavement from previous rainfall and snow melt
yesterday will quickly freeze and turn to ice. Caution is advised
when traveling through 3 AM EDT as road surfaces and pavements
could change quickly and become slick and icy.
