Fog has developed across much of the southern and central Coastal
Plain and the Sandhills this morning with visibilities less than
a half mile in some locations. The fog will be thickest across
portions of Wayne, Wilson, Johnston and Sampson counties where
visibilities may be a quarter mile or less. A cold front will move
across the area over the next few hours and visibilities should
greatly improve between 2 and 4 am. If driving, slow down, use
your low beam headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of
you.
