Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help.
Locally dense fog will impact Marion, Alachua, Gilchrist, and Putnam
counties through the early morning hours today. Visibility at a
quarter of a mile have been reported. Visibilities may slowly
improve by 9 AM.
Motorists should remain alert for sudden changes in visibility,
especially in low spots and near marshes, rivers, creeks or lakes.
