Kankakee River at Momence affecting Kankakee County.
For the Kankakee River...including Momence...Minor flooding is
forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Kankakee River from IL/IN state line downstream to
confluence with Iroquois River at Aroma Park, including the
Momence gauge.
* WHEN...Until Wednesday evening.
* IMPACTS...At 5.5 feet, Low-lying areas of Island Park inundated in
Momence. River Isle Road threatened east of Momence. Eagle Island
Road threatened near Sun River Terrace.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:45 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 5.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Wednesday afternoon.
