Secure loose outdoor objects in a safe location prior to the onset
of winds. Examples of loose objects include, but are not limited to,
garbage bins, trampolines, and outdoor furniture.
Monitor the latest forecasts and warnings for updates.
* WHAT...South-southwest winds 30 to 45 mph with gusts of 50 to 60
mph. Stronger winds are possible along and immediately downslope
of higher terrain, including portions of the Mogollon Rim, San
Francisco Peaks, White Mountains, Black Mesa, Chuska Mountains,
and Kaibab Plateau.
* WHERE...Portions of northern Arizona including areas in Coconino,
Navajo, and Apache counties.
* WHEN...From this evening through Friday evening.
* IMPACTS...Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines.
Power outages are possible. Travel will be difficult, especially
for high profile vehicles. Areas of blowing dust will lead to
reduced visibilities, resulting in hazardous driving conditions.
