* WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations between 5 and 14 inches for a storm total of 5 to 16 inches. Heaviest totals will be along and west of Route 11 into the North Woods. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. * WHERE...Northwest Aroostook County. * WHEN...Until 11 AM EDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday evening and Friday morning commutes. Strong winds could cause damage to trees and power lines. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Patchy to areas of blowing snow likely in the open fields along State Route 11, 161 and 162. Potential for brief whiteout conditions and significant drifting.
