A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather
conditions will make travel extremely dangerous. If you must travel,
keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of
an emergency.

* WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations between 5 and 14
inches for a storm total of 5 to 16 inches. Heaviest totals will
be along and west of Route 11 into the North Woods. Winds gusting
as high as 40 mph.
* WHERE...Northwest Aroostook County.
* WHEN...Until 11 AM EDT Friday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions
could impact the Thursday evening and Friday morning commutes.
Strong winds could cause damage to trees and power lines.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Patchy to areas of blowing snow likely in the
open fields along State Route 11, 161 and 162. Potential for brief
whiteout conditions and significant drifting.
