Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. * WHERE...Northeast Aroostook County. * WHEN...Until 11 AM EDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday evening and Friday morning commutes. Gusty winds and increasingly wet snowfall could bring down tree branches. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Patchy to areas of blowing snow likely in the open fields along US Route 1, 1A. State Route 10, 11, 89, 161, 163 and 227. Potential for brief whiteout conditions.
