The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Illinois...
Des Plaines River near Gurnee affecting Lake IL County.
Des Plaines River near Russell affecting Lake IL County.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Des Plaines River from IL/WI state line downstream to
US-41 in Gurnee, including the Russell gauge.
* WHEN...Until early Tuesday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 7.0 feet, low-lying wetlands and agricultural land is
inundated near the river.
At 8.0 feet, agricultural and park land is inundated near the
river. Residential property is threatened near the river.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:30 AM CDT Friday the stage was 7.7 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 10:30 AM CDT Friday was 7.7 feet.
- Forecast...The river is currently cresting. The river will
begin a slow fall by early next week.
- Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
