For the Des Plaines River...including Gurnee...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Des Plaines River from US-41 in Gurnee downstream to Townline Road in Vernon Hills, including the Gurnee gauge. * WHEN...Until tomorrow evening. * IMPACTS...At 7.0 feet, Forest land inundated near the river in Gurnee. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:30 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 7.4 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:30 AM CDT Wednesday was 7.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon. - Flood stage is 7.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
