The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Oregon... Owyhee River Below Owyhee Dam affecting Malheur County. .Snow melt and increased reservoir releases will cause the river flows to become high. Expect minor flooding downstream from the dam. For the Owyhee River...including Owyhee Dam, Owyhee Dam...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Owyhee River below Owyhee Dam. * WHEN...Until early Friday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 3,000 cfs, Low lying roads, river access and recreation sites adjacent to the river will flood. Farm equipment near the river may need to be moved. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:30 PM MDT Saturday /11:30 AM PDT Saturday/ the flow was 5,525 cfs. - Bankfull is 1,000 cfs. - Recent Activity...The maximum river flow in the 24 hours ending at 12:30 PM MDT Saturday /11:30 AM PDT Saturday/ was 6,012 cfs. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage Friday morning. - Flood flow is 3,000 cfs. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 5,270 cfs on 04/29/2017. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
