Gusty southerly winds will be present today ahead of an approaching cold front. Frequent wind gusts will range from 25-30 mph in south-central Kentucky to 30-35 mph in north-central Kentucky and southern Indiana. Stronger gusts of 35+ mph could occasionally occur during peak heating time this afternoon. Secure outdoor decorations and empty trash cans. Use extra caution when driving high profile vehicles, especially in west to east oriented highways.
