The next statement will be issued Thursday morning at 830 AM EDT.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Altamaha River at Baxley.
* WHEN...Until Friday evening.
* IMPACTS...At 74.5 feet, Flooding of agricultural and timber lands
is expected. Deens Landing and Linton Carter Landing boat ramps,
picnic areas and parking lots begin to flood.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:45 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 75.5 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
early Friday afternoon and continue falling to 73.2 feet
Monday morning.
- Flood stage is 74.5 feet.
