A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 600 AM CDT for
northeastern and east central Kansas.
At 110 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Lawrence, moving east at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Lansing, Bonner Springs, De Soto, Tonganoxie, Basehor, Linwood, Reno,
Fairmount, and Jarbalo.
This includes Kansas Turnpike between mile markers 206 and 222.
