Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
At 1147 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from Surgoinsville to 14 miles
southwest of Colonial Heights to 6 miles east of Tusculum to 10 miles
northeast of Hot Springs. Movement was northeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Johnson City, Kingsport, Bristol Tn, Bristol Va, Elizabethton, Erwin,
