Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
* WHAT...Small stream flooding is expected along Indian Creek due to
excessive rainfall.
* WHERE...A portion of north central Alabama, including the
following county, Madison.
* WHEN...Until 230 PM CDT Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 810 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly in western Madison
County. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen across
much of the basin.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the
warned area.
