A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 100 PM EDT for northeastern
Georgia.
At 849 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 4 miles northwest of Anderson to 8 miles
southeast of Hartwell to 6 miles west of Elberton. Movement was east
at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Elberton, Homeland Park, Honea Path, Calhoun Falls, Due West, Iva,
Lake Secession, Donalds, Starr, and Lowndesville.
