At 1208 PM EDT, National Weather Service doppler radar indicated strong winds ahead of a line of thunderstorms extending from Greenville to Stovall to near Jones Crossroads to Baughs Crossroads to Southern Harbor, and moving south at 40 mph. HAZARD...40 to 50 mph wind preceding rain or lightning. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Strong winds will occur before any rain or lightning. Do not wait for the sound of thunder before taking cover. Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of light, unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Hamilton, Greenville, Manchester, West Point, Pine Mountain, Warm Springs, Pine Mountain-Callaway Gardens, Shiloh, F.d. Roosevelt State Park, Cannonville, Flint Hill, Stovall, Piedmont Heights, Mountain Hill, Pine Mountain Valley, Mulberry Grove, Whitesville-Pine Lake, Raleigh, Durand, and Jones Crossroads.
