At 545 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Goodale State Park to near Hartsville. Movement was southeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Strong thunderstorms will be near... Oats, Lydia, and Swift Creek around 550 PM EDT. Darlington and Darlington Raceway around 555 PM EDT. Lamar and Florence Darlington Technical College Main Campus around 605 PM EDT. Other locations impacted by these storms include Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center, Mcleod Regional Medical Center, Carolinas Hospital System - Cedar Tower, and Health South Rehabilitation Hospital. This includes the following highways... Interstate 20 between mile markers 126 and 141. Interstate 95 in South Carolina near mile marker 146, and between mile markers 158 and 168.
